Either use actual elastic bands found in the fabric section of most craft stores or just use rubber bands. Now, depending on if the nose needs to retract onstage as well, I would add to this design some elastic straps.

Make as many sections as you need for your full length nose. All the pieces fit inside of each other so make each piece as long as the length of the small nose. You could make these out of strengthened poster board or maybe paper mache sanded smooth. Each segment of the lightsaber consists of a slight conical shaped piece inside another slightly larger diameter conical shaped piece.
